Association of Colleges (AoC) The Association of Colleges was created in 1996 as the single voice to promote the interests of further education colleges in England and Wales.The Association provides a broad range of services to its subscribers. It represents their interests locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Guild HE GuildHE is a recognised representative organisation within the higher education sector. Its members comprise higher education colleges, specialist institutions and some universities.  http://www.guildhe.ac.uk/
Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) HEFCE distributes public money for teaching and research to universities and colleges. In doing so, it aims to promote high quality education and research, within a financially healthy sector. The Council also plays a key role in ensuring accountability and promoting good practice http://www.hefce.ac.uk/
Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) QAA’s mission is to safeguard the public interest in sound standards of higher education qualifications and to inform and encourage continuous improvement in the management of the quality of higher education.QAA does this by working with higher education institutions to define academic standards and quality, and we carry out and publish reviews against these standards.QAA were established in 1997 and are an independent body funded by subscriptions from UK universities and colleges of higher education, and through contracts with the main UK higher education funding bodies.  http://www.qaa.ac.uk/
